| Abstract |
SUMMARY
This investigation had becn underiaken at Giza Experiniental Station.
Agricultural Research Center,during 1992,1993 and 1994 seasons to srudy five
measurements of earliness, genetic parameters by scaling test and Mather method
and phenotypic and genotypic correlation between characters for earliness, yield
components and fiber properties in the two intraspecific cotton crosses between
three varieties belong to Gosypirm barbadense L.The crosses were (Giza 70x
Pima S6) and(Giza 83 x Pima So).
The procedure used in this study started by planting parents in 1992 season
and crossing the parents to produce the F, hybrids.In 1993 season, each F,hybrid
of the two intraspecific crosses were backcrossed to both parents to produce
backcrosses,in addition to selfing the F, hybrid plants to produce Fz seeds.In 1994
season,the six population P1,P2.F1,F2,BC, and BC2 of each cross were grown in
a randomized complete block design with four replications to collected the
observations and measurements for the following studied characters.
