SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF RURAL WOMEN
BENEFITS FROM COMMUNICATION MEANS IN
AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN SOME GOVERNORATES

| Abstract |
The study aimed at identifying the level of rural women benefits from
communication means in agricultural production in area study, the relationship
between social impacts and the total degree of roural woman benefit from
communication means in agricultural production, and determine the relationship
between the relation between economic impacts and the total degree of roural women
benefits from communication means in agricultural production, Identifying obstacles
which hinder rural women benefits from communication means in agricultural
production and suggested solutions for maximizing rural women benefits.
The research was conducted in in Kafr el-Shelkfi Governorate as a
representative of middle Delta governorates, Minya Governorate as a representative
middle of Egypt, And Assiut as a representative of the Upper Egypt.
Data were collected from a sample of 152 rural women, using personal
interview through questionnaire, and focus group desiccation, simple correlation
coefficient of Pearson, and test Z (score), frequencies percentages were used for data
analyzing
the most important results of the analysis were as follows:
1.60% of respondents rank were in low category of rural women benefits from the
means of communication in agricultural production compared to 37.4% of the
respondents were in the averaq category.
2.There were a significant relationships between social impacts represented as
degree of leadership, knowledge of rural women problems working in agriculture,
and the total degree of rural women benefits from means of communication, at the
0.05 level.
3.There were a significant relationships between ecnomac impacts represended as,
reduce losses of agricultural crops, degree of possession modern means of
communication, degree of savings to meet a moral crisis and the total degree of
rural woman benefit from means of communication at the 0.05 level
4.some social constraints of rural woman benefit from the means of communication
were illiteracy, customs and traditions, while the some of economic constraints were
small size of holding land, limitted financial capabilities, Among the technical
obstacles not display solutions to impediments the continuation of small projects,
here is no update for the content of communication messages, the difficulty method
of broadcasts, lack of knowledge to use of computers.
