Abstract |
Study aimed to : determine diffusion level of recycling technology of
Maize Crop Residuals into organic fertilizer among farmer respondents, also
determine their listening sources about this technology, determine the correlation
relationship between diffusion degree of recycling technology of Maize Crop
Residuals into organic fertilizer and some of the studied independent variables, as
well as to identify the obstacles which face respondents in diffusion of recycling
technology of Maize crop residuals into organic fertilizer.
The study was carried out in Ismailia Governorate on a simple random
sample amounted 340 farmers representative 11.72% of the total study population
in three villages i.e.: Abou Sweer EL-Mahatta , EL-Rouda and EL-Mahsmah EI-

and EL-Qassasseen respectively (both districts and villages were chosen
according criterion of area cultivated with maize crop) .Data were collected
through personal interview questionnaire during April and May 2014 ,arithmetic
means ,and simple correlation coefficient were used to analyze data statistically,
in addition to frequencies and percentages for showing the results.
The main results of this study revealed that;
62.65%,28.53% ,and 8.82% of farmer respondents were lied in low, average
,and high categories concerning diffusion levels of recycling technology of Maize
crop residuals into organic fertilizer.
diffusion levels were high , average ,and low concerning both the listening
stage, immoratire recommendations, and period of the first time listening and
talking with the others about this technology.
The most important sources of listening about recycling technology of Maize
crop residual into organic fertilizer from farmer respondents points of view were:
extension worker (42.35%), great farmers (40.88%), and agricultural supervisors
(35.29%).
There was significant relationship between diffusion level of recycling
technology of Maize crop residuals into organic fertilizer as a dependent variable
