Comparative chicken genome analysis of Egyptian local breeds and developed strains 2. the micro satellite discrimination between Gimizah and Inshas strains

Abstract |
The aims of this series of studies is to assess genetic diversity, conduct genetic structure and assignment of microsatellites markers of such Egyptian local breeds and developed strains. Previously, we concluded a powerful and usefulness of recommended ten different microsatellites markers belong to ADL (6 markers) and MCW (4markers) groups. Two Egyptian correlated chicken developed strains were intended in the present study, Gimizah (Gm) and Inshas (Is). A total of 49 alleles was traced in the case of (Gm) and 57 for (Is) averaged 49 and 57 alleles per locus, respectively. The results obtained revealed a total of 29 shared alleles (27.36%) (averaged 2.9 alleles per locus) and 48 private alleles (45.28%) averaged 4.8 alleles per locus, 20 and 28 for (Gm) and (Is); respectively. The average of ENA was 5.232 alleles per locus (ranged from 2.17 (MCW0043) to 10.05 (ADL0176)). PICs ranged from 0.3 to 0.79 in Gm strain and averaged 0.62. While in Is, PICs ranged from 0.49 to 0.83 and averaged 0.66. Expected heterozygosities averages were 0.67 for Gm and 0.72 for Is.
ICs (inbreeding coefficients) measure 0.36 for (Gm) and 0.13 for (Is), while similarity coefficient (S) was 0.55 overall loci, based on sharing alleles method, (ranged from 0.25 to 0.87 with respect to such locus). AMOMA test, (Arlequin 3.511 analysis package), concluded a slightly among populations variation (16.97) more than within populations one (15.68). A highly within individuals variation (67.35) was noticed.
Estimated F-indices were 0.189 for FIS, 0.17 for FST and 0.327 for FIT.
