Abstract The present work aims to study histological changes of rumen and abomasums as well as water rumen capacity in response to animal exposure under two different thermal conditions to detect importance of the digestive organs .to maintain animal productivity and to explain, the role of the rumen in adaptation of the animal condition to the surrounding environment. Eight buffalo calves aged six months and weighing 118.00 to 119.25 kg. were available for this study. Results of the present work clarified that the rumen plays important role of adaptation by abundant change of tissue structure with decrease or increase of thickness of layers in response to heat stress. Density of papillae, length and diameters of papillae increased of total absorption of digested feed so, any improved of quality of feed increased of microbial fermentation due to increased the total observed this lower effect of decreased in production of animal under heat stress.
