Influence of garlic extracts against some fungi causing immune system disorder

| Abstract |
Garlic is one of such plants and has acquired a worldwide reputation in folklore as a formed- able prophylactic and therapeutic medicinal agent for over 5000 years. The effects were include prevention of cardiovascular disease, cancer and liver injury, natural antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.The aim of our investigation was comparing the effect of Egyptian garlic extract and Chinese garlic extract on growth of two types of fungus (Fusarium Oxysporum and Fusarium Moniliforme Fungus) and study the effects on immune system by using experimental animals.
Our investigation included the effect of two types of garlic extracts against Fusarium fungi of Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium moniliforme which causing some disorder on some blood items and immune system by using experimental animals. The duration of study was 6 weeks; it was carried out by using water extract of Egyptian and Chinese garlic on male rats by stomach tube for 6 weeks. The obtained data showed that Egyptian and Chinese garlic extract and treatments had high effect on spore germination, reduction and linear growth on two types of fungus. The body weight of rats, the blood heamoglobin, red blood cell counts and immune globuline (IgG and IgM) revealed significant increases in. Meanwhile, platelets and white blood cells differentiation (monssocyte, lymphocyte, neutrophile, esenophile and basophile) were decreased and increases in as a result of garlic extracts administration.
Therefore, garlic extract might be detoxified Fusarium contamination in food materials, and improved some biological characters such as immunoglobin, and immune system as well as blood items.
