| Abstract |
The present study was conducted at Plant Protection Research Institute – Sharkia branch during two successive years 2011 and 2012, to evaluate the effects of some foliar fertilizers on the biology of silkworm, Bombyx mori L. Fetrilon Combi 2 (75gm/100 L), Foliar Nitrophoska (50gm/100 L) and Urea 46% (100gm/100 L) were sprayed on mulberry trees leaves and fed to the 4th instars larvae. Treated leaves with Urea induced the highest larval & pupal weight, fecundity and fertility followed by Fetrilon Combi 2 and Nitrophoska. However, larval duration did not affect by different doses. Moreover, Fetrilon Combi 2 treatments showed the highest cocooning percentage. Nitrophoska treatments showed the highest mean of silk gland weight.
