Abstract The obtained results indicated that all biological aspects of the predator affected significantly by the type of the prey and temperature. The acarid mite, Tyrophagus putrescentiae eggs showed a higher fecundity source than T. putrescentaie immature stages and the eggs of the insect Plodia interpunctella, but the eggs of C. maculates was the lowest favorable one. The predator female during the whole duration period preyed upon the eggs of T. putrescentiae with an average of 109.1 eggs, while the male attacked prey eggs with an average of 53.7 eggs.
