| Abstract |
Several trails were carried out at Gemmeiza Agricultural Research Station Farm, Gharbia Governorate, Egypt during two successive growing seasons (2004/2005) and (2005/2006) to clarify the effect of different soil tillage and fertilization regimes in faba bean field on the population of moving stages of Tetranychus urticae Koch
Results showed that the numbers of mite moving stages on faba bean leaf1ets were significantly affected by tillage and fertilization systems. Reduction of infestation was achieved when the soil had been supplied with balanced fertilizer system (N+P+K) under complete management system. While, high level of infestation was recorded on (P) application under no-tillage treatment. On the other hand, (P+N) application under minimum tillage treatment recorded moderate number of moving stages during the two seasons of investigation.
