Abstract |
Stored product mites are considered a group of the most dangerous pests. They cause great damage to the majority of stored products. Therefore, basic information on their ecology, Biology and control strategies has been become a matter of immediate concern. The obtained results in thesis can be summarized as follow:
1- Survey of mite species associated with stored products at Dakahlia and Sharkia Governorates.
2- Effect of food type and photoperiod on the population growth of two acaridid mite species.
3- Toxicity of certain pesticides to adult females of T. putrescentaie and S. Berlesei using three methods of exposure unde laboratory conditions.
4- Residual toxicity of three pesticides applied on Rass chese and poultry feed at the concentration that kill 90% of adult females of Tyrophagus putrescentiae.
