Abstract This study was carried out at El-Mehalla EL-Kobra (El- garbia Governorate) in 2009 season. The study started by detecting the prevalence of nosema disease (Nosema apis) in 3 apiaries (El- Amrya, El-hyatem and Ayash). Two medical treatments (Antinal and Entophar) and one plant extract (baboonig or chamomile) Matricaria recutita were evaluated against the disease in the most infected apiary (Ayash). These materials were used at three doses 1, 2 and 3 ml/ liter sugar syrup and control only sugar syrup feeding. The antinal product was the best and showed the most efficacies against the disease. It gives 79.57% at 1 ml/liter and 100% efficacy at both of 2 and 3 ml/liter, respectively. The entophar product comes in the second rank; it gives 63.50% and 79.50% efficacy at 1 and 2 ml/liter, respectively. While in the third dose (3ml/liter) it gives 100% efficacy. The lowest efficacy value was shown in the plant extract Matricaria recutita. It was 19.50%, 26.42% and 52.38% at 1, 2 and 3ml/liter, respectively. It was noticed that the brood-rearing activity increased with increasing the dose. At the third dose (3ml/liter) entophar was the best and gives 67.42 inch², followed by antinal (58.82 inch²) then the plant extract Matricaria recutita gives 24.68 inch².
