English : Evaluation of different methionine sources in broiler diets: 2- effect of dietary methionine level and source on biochemical analysis of blood and liver of broiler chicks at 6 weeks of age
Abstract This experiment was designed to evaluate three commercial methionine sources being DL-methonine (DL-MET). DL-methionine hydroxy analogue - Calcium (MHA-Ca) and DL-methionine hydroxy analogue-free acid (MHA-FA) fed to male broilers at three equivalent levels in a corn-soybean meal diet. At the end of the 6th week of age birds were weight and then two birds were chosen from each replicate (6 birds from every treatment) and slaughtered to carry out some chemical analysis for liver and blood samples. The biochemical results clearly showed that the total protein (TP), Albumin (A), Globutine (G), Albumin / Globutin ratio (A/G) , transaminases activities (GOT T and GPT) and total Lipids (TL) of blood plasma and liver were not greatly affected by changing the dietary methionine sources and levels. Keywords: broiler chicks, blood metabolites, methionine analogues
