English : Water Users Members Opinions for Farmers Problems and Their Information Sources on Branch Canals in Irrigation Improvement Areas At Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate

Abstract This study is mainly intended to determine water users members opinions for farmers problems and their information resources on branch canal in the irrigation improvement areas at Kafr EI-Sheikh Governorate, through the respondents opinions of irrigation problems on developed branch canals. A questionnaire was prepared and used to collect data for this study through personal interviews from 141 respondents. Percentages, arithmetic mean standard deviation, weighted mean and frequency distribution were used to analyze the data. Major findings are as follows: - 57.4 % of respondents mentioned the existence of high irrigation problems on developed branch canals, - The problems of water users association on branch canals came as the first of irrigation problems on developed branch canals. - 50 % of respondents were height exposure of information resources to solve irrigation problems on developed branch canals. - Agricultural Extension worker (AEW) and irrigation advisory engineer (IAE) came first as information resources. - 69.4 % of respondents are unwilling to social participation.
