English : Extension Workers and Local Leaders Knowlodge Concerning Reasons of The Pollution in Rural Environment, and Their Communication Roles In This Regard in Kafr EI-Sheikh and El-Behiera Governorates

Abstract This study mainly intended to determine the Extension workers and local leaders knowledge about reasons of the pollution in rural environment, and their roles in this regard. Two questionnaires were prepared and used to collect data through personal interviews from 92 Extension workers, and 83 local leaders. Percentages, arithmetic mean, frequency distribution tables, standard deviation, wheigh degree, and "T" test were utilized as stistical methods in analyzing and presenting the research data. The major findings could be summarized as follows: - Low knowledge level of the Extension workers about the soil pollution. - Low knowledge level of local leasers about soil and air pollution. The findings also have pointed to some roles that local leaders can play meny rols of pollution reduce in rural environment.
