English : Graduate Farmers Level of Knowledge Regarding Wheat Cultivation Practices in New Land at Kafr El - Sheikh Governorate

Abstract The main objective of this study was to identify the graduates level knowledge regarding wheat cultivation practices in new land at Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate , throughout studying the following : I- identifyillg the knowledge degrees of the respondents with wheat farm practices. 2- determining the relationship between knowledge degrees of the respondents and some independent variables 3- identifying the important problems which facing the respondents in the field of study. A questionnaire was used to collect the data through personal interviews with a systematic random sample consisted of 214 respondents in three villages ( Fyrose ,New Taba , ALkadsia ) in Elzawya sector , kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. Percentages, frequencies, arithmetic means, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient , multiple regression were used to analyze the data statistically. The most important results of this study were as follows: 1-respondents knowledge was low in some wheat farm practices in new land such as : rate of seeds rate and time of chemical fertilizers , rate and time of bio-fertilizers, weed integrated control , diseases control , insects control. 2-there is a significant relationship between respondents knowledge degrees of wheat cultivation practices and each of the following independent variables : agricultural experience , farm holding of wheat , formal social participation , exposure to sources of information. 3-the independent variables ( exposure to sources of information , formal social participation ,size of animal holding , family number ) explained 22.8 % of the total variance of respondents knowledge degrees of wheat farm practices . 4-the important problems which facing the respondents were : financing marketing problems and some of extension problems .
