English : Studies on the anti- parastitic effect of some medical herbs on the ‎growth behavior of eimeria tenella in vitro.‎
Arabic : دراسات على التأثير المضاد لبعض الأعشاب الطبية على نمو الإيميريا تينيلا معملياً‎ ‎
Abstract These studies aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic and anticoccidial ‎effect of active crude extract of medical plants , 4volatile oil as ‎well as 2 salt solution (normal saline and the sodium citrate). The ‎active crude extract of guava leave , Belladona tincture , ‎peppermint , cardamom tincture and tilia flower suppressed the ‎growth of the vegetative from of eimeria tenella oocysts (in vitro) ‎at a rate of 99, 90,90,80and 60%respectively. On the other hand , ‎testing of volatile oils of fennel , peppermint and dill suppressed at ‎a rate of 95, 85 and 80% respectively the growth of the vegetative ‎form of Eimeria tenella oocysts. The suppression effect on the ‎sporulated form of Eimeria tenella oocysts reached to 90% by ‎peppermint leaves , Guava and Belladona tincture, 40% by the tilia ‎flower and cardamom and 70% by both salt solution. The least ‎suppressing effect on the sporulated oocysts of Eimeria tenella was ‎induced by the volatile oil of peppermint and dill at rate of 20% ‎while the fennel oil has no suppressing effect on the growth of ‎such sporulated oocysts. ‎
