Abstract Twenty sexually matured bucks and 104 monoparous does of New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits were used in two experiments. First. experiment was aimed to evaluate some reproductive traits after 20 ug Gn-RH intramuscularly injection The secand experiment was designed to study the effect of injection of NZW rabbit does intramuscularly with Gn-RH at different intervals before artificial insemination on fertility traits; some blood sexual hormones and ovulation rate. The results showed an improve (P<0.05) libido; semen volume; advanced sperm motility; sperm-cell concentration; dead and abnormal spermatozoa and acrosomal damages due to Gn-RH. The percentage of advanced sperm motility of NZW rabbit semen diluted with saline solution (0.9 % NaCL + egg-yolk) and incubated at 37 oC for up to 60 minutes was significantly (P<0.05) higher and the percentages of each of dead and abnormal spermatozoa and acrosomal damages were significantly (P<0.05) lower after Gn-RH injection Values of each of conception rates; litter size at birth; blood plasma oestradiol 17β and progesterone concentration and ovulation rate were significantly (P<0.05) better due to its Gn-RH injected 3 hours before artificial insemination than those injected at 1 or 5 hours before artificial insemination or those which naturally mated. The effect of Gn-RH injection on bunny weight at birth were insignificant, Generally, the results showed that, intramuscularly injection of New-Zealand White rabbit bucks intramuscularly with 20 µg Gn-RH improved their libido and quality fresh and diluted semen. Fertility traits of New-Zealand White rabbit does were improved by does intramuscularly injection with 20 µg Gn-RH 3 hours before artificial insemination. Key words: Semen quality; Gn-RH, ovulation, fertility; AI.
