| Abstract |
The immunoglobulin (IgG) was obtained from the yolk of unfertile eggs laid to vaccinated breeder with infectious bursal disease (IBD) vaccine. Yolk IgG prepared and used in three forms: wet (as it is), lyophilized with skimmed milk and adjuvanted with oil. Also, teh yolk was lyophilized alone, IBD hyperimmune serum (HIS) was prepared in chicks.
The specific IBD antibodies were estimated in such preparations using serum neutralization test. The efficacy of these preparations to immunize chicks was evaluated by teh inoculation of them in different groups of fully susceptible chicks with post and histopathological examination of the bursae of tested chicks, indicated that such passive immunization resulted
