Abstract A total number of 540 one-day old unsexed EI-Salam chicks were used in this study. Chicks were divided randomly into six equal treatments (90 bird each). Chicks of treatment 1 was received the basal diet (as a control diet). Chicks of treatment 2 was received the basal diet plus 500 ppb aflatoxin B1 (AF-diet). Chicks of treatments 3, 4, 5 and 6 were, received the AF-diet supplemented with 0.5% hybrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate. 1.0% radish extract. 1.0% anhydrous sodium sulphate or mixture HRS. respectively. Main results obtained can be summarized as follows : 1- Chicks fed AF-diet without additives recorded lower body weight (25.12%), feed intake (11.19%) and poorer feed conversion (21.40%) than the control group. 2-Relative weights of liver. Spleen, pancreas, kidney and proventriculus significantly increased. While. bursa of fabricius and thymus glands weight decreased in AF groups. 3-Chicks fed on AF-diet recorded lower values of blood hemoglobin. total protein. albumin. total lipids and cholesterol and higher values of aspratate aminotanseferase (AST) and alanine aminotanseferase (ALT) enzymatic activities. 4-Liver tissues of chicks Jed AF-diet for 6 weeks deposited AFB1 (16 ppb) and presented lower values of protein (12.24%) and higher values of lipid (14.83%) compared with those fed control diet. 5-Addition of hydrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate, radish extract, anhydrous sodium sulphate and mixture HRS improved chick body weight at 6 weeks by 17.14. 9.28. 13.33 and 14.76%, respectively and improved feed conversion by 11.53. 6.73. 9.93 and 10.89%, respectively as compared to chicks fed AF-diet alone. A recovery period perhaps, to some extent, overcomes some toxic symptoms in chicks.
