English : Effect of abamectin "from different sources" on some hormonal, biochemical, immunological and haematological indices in adult male albino Rat
Arabic : تأثير الأبامكتين -من مصادر مختلفة - على بعض المعايير الهرمونيية والبيوكيميائية والمناعية وصورة الدم في ذكور الفئران البيضاء البالغة.
Abstract Comparative effects of subchronic, equitoxic doses (2/5 LDso) of the two end-use products (EUP) of abamectin (A) pesticide, from different manufactures, with trade names; vertimec (AV) and Vapcoime (Ap) at 5.93 and 4.56 mg/kg b.wt., respectively, (4 doses/week) for 60 days were investigated in adult male albino rats. An important biological process, where, pesticide act as endocrine disrupters (EDCs) was discussed as well as through estimation of T4, T3, various haematological and biochemical parameters were estimated. In addition, quantitative detection of immunoglobulins especially IgG and IgM were performed. Results showed that; thyroxine (T4) level unchanged after an administration of (Av) and (Ap) as compared to control group. While, triiodthyronine (T3) exhibited significant decrease (P< 0.001, P< 0.01) with (Av) and (Ap), respectively. Testosterone (T) level was significantly decreased (P< 0.001) with (Ap), but it unchanged with (Av). No appreciable changes were noticed in total protein (TP), albumin, total globulin concentrations in the serum of treated groups with the compounds (Av) and (Ap) as compared with control group. Meanwhile, urea and creatinine levels were decreased with (Av) while (Ap) induced increase in creatinine. Regarding haematological indices, both compounds (Av) and (Ap) revealed decrease in the mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH) and the mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC) associated with a marginal increase in RBCs with (Av) and decrease in haemoglobin (Hb) with (Ap). Radial immunodiffusion studies on serum treated rats with (Av) and (Ap) revealed hypoimmunoglobulinaemia of both IgG and IgM levels.
