English : Effect of Microbial Phytase Enzyme in Correction of Calcium,Phosphorus and biochemical Serum Constituents in Broilers Fed On Mycotoxicated or Mycotoxin Controlled Rations

Abstract In this study, 40 chicks of one day old, were vaccinated against Newcastle and Gumboro diseases and fed standard ration uptill 21 days old, then, chicks were divided into four groups each of them 10 chicks; 1st group received a standard ration and kept as control group, 2nd group received a diet contaminated with ochratoxin A 300 ppb, the 3rd group received a diet contaminated with ochratoxin A 300 ppb + Hydrated sodium calcium aluminoselicate (HSCAS ) 0.5% and the 4th group received a diet containing ochratoxin A 300ppb + HSCAS 0.5% + phytase enzyme (500 FYT /gm) 24 g /100kg ration .This feeding program continued for 2 weeks (uptill 35 days old ) . Blood and sera samples were collected for hematological, biochemical and immunological studies as well as organs (livers and kidneys)for histopathological studies. Bursal weight was done for calculation of bursal index. Results showed disturbance in both kidney and liver functions. Liver enzymes (GGT and AST) as well as uric acid and creatinine showed significant increase and albumin showed significant decrease. Chickens fed on ration contaminated With ochratoxin A showed immunosuppresion which indicated by decreased globulin level, lymphopenia and decreased antibody production. Normocytic hypochromic anemia was seen in chicks treated by ochratoxin A. The addition of HSCAS to the ration lead to disappearance of the toxic effect of ochratoxin A as shown in biochemical, hematological and immunological results. The use of phytase enzymes in combination with HSCAS in ochratoxin A contaminated feed restored the normal values of serum Ca, P, proteins, albumin and globulin indicating the importance of its use in ochratoxin A contaminated rations. Histopathological studies showed the nephropathic effect of ochratoxin A as oedema of the glomeruli and degeneration of the epithial lining of proximal and distal convoluted tubules, while the liver tissue showed congestion and necrotic changes of hepatocytes.
