English : The use of two montanide oils (ISA 206 AND IMS 1313)as adjuvants for the preparation of PPR virus hyperimmune sera in goats private
Abstract In this study, two Montanide oils based adjuvants were tested for their efficacy to elicit hyperimmune sera in goats against PPR virus, two groups of susceptible goats were primary immunized with inactivated PPR virus adjuvanted with Montanide ISA 206 oil in the first group and Montanide IMS 1313 in the second Group. The immunization schedule was completed by ingecting goats with only booster dose (equivalent to 100X vaccinal dose) of PPR vaccine (living attenuated) 3 week post vaccination. By this schedule, it was possible to obtain PPR hyperimmune sera containing a titre of 2.7 log10 (ISA 206 oil vaccine) -2.8 log10 (IMS 131 oil vaccine) as detected by serum neutralization test. In conclusion, PPR hyperimmune sera can be obtained by the use of any of the two Montanide oils used as adjuvants.
