Abstract |
Who promotes improvement of quality control and assurance for the local vaccine production in each country. Tetanus adsorbed vaccine is the most important one used in the immunization equines. For this purpose, thev combined toxin binding inhibition (ToBI) test was used for determining neutralizing antibodies to tetanus in the evaluation of produced vaccine. A simple procedure involving collection by heart puncture in guinea pigs. Also the researcher can follow up the immunized guinea pigs for a long period without causing heart damage. The validation study for the ToBI test involved taking blood samples on filter paper and heart puncture serum, both samples gave similar titers. A regression analysis showed that the correlation coefficient (r ) for the samples was + 0.648 i.e. strong correlation the results obtained demonstrate that the ToBI test can feasibly be carried out. Preliminary result obtained in the evaluation of the adsorbed tetanus vaccine indicate that it is valid for immunization of horses for one year.
