English : A Rough Antigen Complement Fixation Test For The Assessment Of Seroconversion In Buffaloes Vaccinated With Brucella Abortus Strain Rb51 Vaccine
Arabic : إختبار تثبيت المكمل ذو الأنتيجين الخشن في متابعة التغير السيرولوجي للجاموس المحصن بالعترة أر بي 51 البروسيلا أبورتس
Abstract Aiming to overcome the lack of a convenient serological test capable of monitoring seroconversion in animals vaccinated with Brucella abortus strain RB51 vaccine the present study was planned to prepare a rough antigen from this strain and evaluate its specifity and sensitivity by complement fixation test (CFT) in vaccinated buffaloes. The complement fixation test could detect antibodies raised against rough Brucella abortus RB51 in all vaccinated animals, meanwhile all sera from non infected cattle buffaloes were negative samples by CFT confirming the specifity and sensivity of the test. Anti-RB51 antibodies were detected by CFT in vaccinated animals at two weeks post vaccination. We concluded that the CFT from rough strain RB51 could be used as a diagnostic tool for detection of animals vaccinated with RB51 vaccine.
