The usage of outer membrane proteins for serodiagnosis and vaccination against brucellosis

| Abstract |
In this study, OMP antigens were prepared from B. abortus S-2308 and B. melitensis
S-Revl and LPS was separated from B. abortus S-99 to determine their efficiency for diagnosis of brucellosis. Also, OMP oil adjuvanated vaccines were prepared from B. abortus S-2308 and B. melitensis S- Revl to evaluate the potential activity of adjuvant OMP vaccines to protect g.pigs against brucellosis ; these vaccines were injected in groups of g.pigs and boosted three weeks after vaccination. The humoral immune response of g. pigs against B.abortus S-2308 and B melitensis S-Revl OMPs oil adjuvanated was measured by using ELISA. As well as, the cellular immunity was determined using intradermal test. The diameter of erythema in vaccinated g. pigs were measured after 4, 24, 48 and 72 hours of injection of brucellin (INRA). The immune response against the prepared oil adjuvanated OMP vaccines were compared with the traditional vaccines B.abortus S19 and B. melitensis S-Rev1 .
