Keeping quality of the lyophilized polyvalent clostridial vaccine

| Abstract |
Two polyvalent clostridial vaccines containing antigens of C.chauvoei, C.septicum C.novyi type B,C.tetani and C.perfringens types B and D were prepared in liquid and lyophilized forms keeping quality of each vaccine was tested in rabbits every three months up to 12 months storage at 4oC. The lyophilized and liquid vaccines induced good immune responses for all antigenic vaccine components till 6 months of storage. Antibody titers decreased slightly in liquid vaccine than those of lyophilized one but still within the protective level after 6 months for both vaccines and till 12 months of storage.
