It covered the following points: 1-Pest problem assessment and characterization: This included general survey of potato pests in 28 localities in seven Egyptian governorates; beside population density estimation of potato key pests (Bemisia tabaci Genn., Myzus persicae Sulz. and Phthorimaea opcrculella Zeller) in two geographically different localities. It also included general survey of natural enemies associated with potato pests. 2-Development of management components: This included application of certain cultural practices (planting dates, fertilizers & potato varieties), microbial control (fungi and bacteria), detergent, plant oil and mineral oil as well as sex pheromone traps. 3-Integration of key components: This included integralion of certain cultural control practices with each of sex pheromones and entomopathogenic bacteria. 4-Implementation and impact of IPM programs in pilot units and on large scale against potato key pests in the field and storage.
