Abstract
The aim of this study was to monitor ovarian follicular cyst (OFC) dynamics after treatment, with double injections gonadotrophins (GnRH) and then injection of prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α), on early and old OFC. Serum progesterone concentrations were 0.77 ± 0.12 ng/ml and 1.22 ± 1.03 ng/ml in recent and old OFCs While Estradiol and testosterone were significantly high in recent OFCs than Those of old cysts. Ultrasonogrphic evaluation showed thickening of the follicular wall after first injection of GnRH. After the second injection, complete lutenization takes place and dominant follicles and ovulation were observed after PGF2α where it was 90% in recent OFC and 71% in old follicular cysts.
