English : Side effects of three natural products on Trichogramma evanescens west. (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) as a parasitoid on eggs of Agrotis ipsilon (Hufn.) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)
Abstract Two forms of neem products; NeemAzal T/s and Neemix in addition to the commercial Mint oil were used in this study at concentrations of 4.0, 1.0 and 1.0%, respectively, to evaluate their effects on the different immature stage of the parasitoid of Trichogramma evanescens. Regardless of treated stage, the treatment with NeemAzal T/S 4% and Mint oil 1.0% inhibit the emergence of adult parasitoid from 93.58% in control to 53.24 and 65.54%, respectively, while it was 76.9% when the parasitoid treated with Neemix 1%. The stages of pupae and pre-pupae were the most susceptible stages for treatments. Longevity of adult emerged after treatment slightly affected. Regardless of the treated stage, the three products inhibited fecundity of emerged females from 50.4 progeny/female in control to 32.9, 40.8 and 25.3 progeny/ female when treated as immature stages with NeemAzal T/S, Neemix and Mint oil, respectively. The sex ratio of produced (F1) progeny was dominated females but it decreased insignifícantly when parents treated as immature stages with Neemix and Mint oil (65.47 and 68.05%) and insignifícantly to 60.8% when the immature stages treated with NeemAzal T/S compared with 71.5% in control.
