English : Immunological studies for production and evaluation of oil combined inactivated Rift Valley Fever and Pasteurella multocida vaccine in sheep.

Abstract An inactivated combined vaccine of Rift Valley Fever and P.multocida were prepared by using Montanide oil (3013) as adjuvant. Twenty susceptible sheep were divided into four (4) groups each group contained five sheep, the first group was vaccinated with monovalent Rift Valley Fever (RVF) vaccine, second group was vaccinated with alone, and the fourth group was left as control non-vaccinated . After one month a booster dose of the same vaccines were done. The sheep were observed and their immune response were investigated for 6 months, The results revealed that there is no great differences between the immune response in single and combined vaccines, all vaccinated sheep had a protective level of antibodies against RVF and P. multocida oil adjuvants vaccine can be used effectively in controlling both diseases in sheep.
