| Abstract |
A combination unit for harvesting maize crop provided with a system of cutting and chopping cropresidues in one pass was developed and compared with the conventional methods . Both of corn picker and rotary mower were subsequently used . The present study was carried out using the developed machine where the effect of moisture content of stalk ,machine forward speed and rotational speeds where teste against the cuttingefficiency and chopping efficiency .Energy and power requirements were investigated due to changing the forward speed and moisture content .
