Abstract Microterys flavus (Howard) (Encyrtidae: Hymenoptera) is one of the most important parasitoids attacking some soft scale insects in Egypt.Surveys conducted during 2002- 2004 in 25 governorates of Egypt showed that M. flavus was associated with eight species of soft scale insects. The result showed that this paraitoid recorded for the first time in Egypy attcaking, Kilifa acuminata (Signoret), Pulvinaria f1'occifera (Westwood), Pulvinaria mesembryanthemi (Vallot) and P. tenuivalvata (Newstead).
