English : The influence of gibberellic acid (GA) and indole acetic acid (IAA) on the production of local lesions on nicotiana sylvestris plants infected with tomato mosaic tobamovirus (TOMV)
Arabic : تأثير حمض الجبريليك واندول حمض الخليك علي أنتاج النقط الموضعية علي نباتات الدخان (نيكوتيانا سلفسترس) المصابه بفيروس موزيك الطماطم
Abstract Tomato mosaic disease caused by7irrrrcdu mosaic virus (ToMV) is widespread wherever tomato is -rown. ToMV affects plants and yields. Virus was isolated and identified on the base of syntptonrttolo-v on tomato plants, host range, diagnostic hosts, physical properties, mode of transmission and ELISA detection. ToMV had a longevity in vitro (LIV) of 90 days at room temperature, dilution end point (DEP) of 10"6 A"`~ thernrt) inactivation point (TIP) of 90C. ToMV was easily transmitted by sap. The obtained results revealed that "I"oMV was not transmitted by any insects used in this study. The identification of "hoMV was confirmed serolo~_ically using ELISA technique. The effectiveness of (l;ibberellic acid (GA) and indole acetic acid (IAA) againstTnnruto mosaic virus (ToMV) in vitro and in rive) has been evaluated. GA and IAA reduced in rilru and in rian the inlectivitv of ToMV to a certain extent, expressed as the number of local lesions induced bv T'oMV on Nicmicrncr .+a'tve.shri.s. This reduction increased -radually by increasing GA and IAA concentrations. ToMV inhibition percentages induced by GA and IAA varied according to the time of treatment ( I, 3, 3 and 4 hours). Hi-h percenta-es of inhibition were recorded for in riwn treaUnent. 'foMV inhibition of pre-inoculation treatment was higher tlrut that of post-inoculation treatment. IAA was more effective than GA
