English : Information Sources From Which Women Derive Their Knowledge Regarding House And Farm Roles in Boorg ElArab District, Alexandria Governorate.

Abstract This study was conducted with the main objective of determining different information sources from which rural women of Boorg El Arab district get their knowledge concerning their house and agricultural roles. The study sub objectives were: 1- To determine some social, economical and personal characteristics of the rural women. 2- To determine house and farm roles of the respondents. 3- To determine relative importance of different information sources used by the responds in acquiring their farm and house roles. Data were collected from 192 respondents by using a questionnaire through personal interview in Boorg El Arab district. And Frequencies Percentages are utilized as statistical methods. The main findings of the research were as follows: - High level of illiteracy , low holding of agriculture land and the sheep size , medium ages , simple families, multiple marriages. - Concerning the house roles :low (13%) , medium (49.5%), high (37.5%) , the farm roles: low (10.9%) , medium(49.5%), high (39.5%). - It was found that the relative importance of information sources in a descending way, were: friends, T.V programs, Rural female extension agents, female health agents, extension panels, and radio programs.
