Abstract This Research aimed at determining the relationship between opinion leadership as measured in this study denoted to the total numbers of opinion leader's roles of the participants in the program of non - traditional fodder from rice hay and the opinion leadership scores as measured by "Rogers Ohio Scale". This study also was directed to investigate the relationship between opinion leadership scale as dependant variable and some of independent variables, also to recognize the contribution of the positive significant variables in explanation the variance of dependant variable. Sharkia governorate was selected to be the research location; three districts were chosen to represent the higher areas cultivated with rice crop. Populations of the study were all farmers participated in the studied extension program, they amounted 137 farmers. A Random sample were selected from their lists in the three districts they amounted 101 respondents. Data were collected from them by a pre -tested questionnaire through personal interviews. Chi , person cor.coef. and step-wise multiple regression and correlation tools were utilized to test the null hypothesis : Results indicated that the vast majority of the respondents had a higher level of opinion leadership roles , and there were not significant difference between Ohio scale for opinion leadership degrees and the amount of leadership roles in diffusion the technology of treating rice hay with urea to produce non traditional feeds for cattle . There was a significant corr. coef. between roles of opinion leadership and each of the following variables : Motives to participate in that ext. program , Attitudes towards benefit from the secondary plant products , cattle holding size , level of formal education , knowledge about application of the urea treatment for rice hay. The first three variables explained about 46% from the variance of the leadership's roles. The study stressed on the opinion ladder roles from the participants of the agric ext. activities and programs.
