English : Bio efficacy and compatibility of two Bacillus thurienginlrsis formulations and their binary mixtures against pink bollworm pe, Ctinophoia gossypiella
Abstract Field experiments were carried out during 2000 , 2001 & 2002 cotton seasons at Sharkia governorate to evaluate the performance of two commercial formulations of Bacillus thuringiensis for their bioefficacy and compatibility against the pink bollworm , i.e. Dipel-2x (Bacillus tlsuringiensis Kurstakc) and Xentai-i (Bacillus thuringiensis aizawia ). Each of the tow formulations were evaluated alone and in a combined form with their recommended rates and half recommended rates In addition, a mixture of Dipel-2x recommended rate with Xentari half recommended rate. Laboratory testes were experimented to determine the LC50 & LC90 of the former treatments to PBW by feeding newly hatching larvae on artificial diet combined with a number of 'aques concentrations of each treatment in half descending order, where from each concentration a volume of 2.5 ml was homgonatly mixed with 50gm of the artificial diet. Results obtained show that, Dipel-2x (powder) and Xentari water dispersible granules (WG) was more effective on pectirtophora gossypiella than their mixture(s), i.e. Bacillus thuringiensis Kurstaki not compatible with Bacillus thuringiensis aizawia against p. gossypiella.
