| Abstract |
Pharmacokinetics, efficacy and tissue residues of sulphadiazine (SDZ)were studied in Clarias gariepinus experimentally infectes with Aeromonas hydrophila . Following experimental infection and appearance of clinical symptoms which were mostly signs of septicemia, fish were given sulphadiazine orally (100Mg/kg body weight ) The study showed that the computed interval vetween sulphadiazine doses were shorter in Aeromonas hydrophila infected fish (25.22+2.3h) than normal non infected fish (32.44+1.3h).
