| Abstract |
The Pharmackinetic pattern of tiamulin were studied in five chealthy lacting cows after single intravenous,intramuscular and intrauterine administration of bdy weight. after intravenous injection,tiamulin serum cncentration versus time curve best fitted a two compartment open model.the drug was eliminated with an elimination half - life hour . the volume of distribution at steady state following intramuscular administration, tiamulin peak serum concentration and the mean systemic bioaavailability was tiamulin serum concentrations following intrauterine infusion were significantly lower than those follwing whereas, for treatment of uterine infectin it is preferable to be used by intrauterine infusion to minimize the potential of the excretion of the drug as well as its residues in milk.
