Abstract Nile tilapa Oreochromis nilticus cultred under extensive, semi extensive and intensive methds of culture were bacteriologically screened fr the presence of entercoccsis. Different clincal signd and lesions were seen among infected fish represented externally by exophthalmia, ocular pacity, ocular haemrrhages and bdy curvature.However, internal pictures were mostly in the form of enteritis associated with the presence of reddish watery intestinal fluid and variabe degrees of congestion in internal organs .Histopathological alterations of infected fish revealed some variations and generally represented by hpatitis, splenitis,nephritis,enteritis, and endophthalmitis,however,degenrative changes f internal organs were seen in late stages of infection.
