| Abstract |
Vibriosis associated with high mortalities was recorded in a cultured brackish water O. niloticus fish farm in summer season. the involved vibrio species was identified as V. ordalii. clinisally infected fishes externally developed skin ulcerations, skin and fins haemorrhages,abdominal distention, exophthalmia , eye opacity and occasionally fin rot.However,septicaemic picture of visceral organs was requently seen.
pathological changes in fishes experimentally infected with V. ordalii and its extracellular products (ECP) were also studided.
