Abstract |
Atotal of 85diarrhoeic dogs from central security force aged from 2-3 months to 6 years old were examined fifity eight dogs (68.2%) were harboured Escherichia coli salmonellae and yersinia enterocolitica The most common organisms being isolated were E. coli (50 cases , 58.8%) than salmonellae (9cases 10.6) and Y. enterocolitica (7 cases 8.2%) eight diarrhoeic dogs harboured conv\currently mixed infection ( (9.4%and 50 cases (58.8%) showed sigle infection serotyping of coli revealed the presence of O158 (20 isolates ) 02 (18 isolates ) and 057 (12 isolates) salmonella serotyping revealed that 6 as s enteritidis and 3 as s typhimurium Tow serogroups of y enterocolitica were identified O:3 (3isolates ) and 0:9) (2 isolates ) most of the isolated strains were positive for invasiveness of the Hela cells enterotoxin production in infant mice and Bgalactosidase activity most isolates were sensitive to ofluxacin cephaloxine colistin sulphate and gentamicin while they were resistant to erythromycin ampicillin and tetracyclin
