English : Knowledge and execution of agricultural extension agents concerning some extension methods principles in Sharkia and Fayoum Governorates

Abstract This study aims to determine agricultural extension agents level of knowledge and execution extension methods principles including fields visits, extension meetings, administration meetings office visits, extension publication, extension posters and to identify the relationship between the independent variables and the level of knowledge and executing extension methods principles. The study was conducted in sharkia and Fayoum Governorates rata were collected using a questionnaire through personal interview from random sample of 165 extension agents 120 of them were selected randomly from Fayoum Governorate and 45 of them svere selected from Sharkia Governorate. The statistical tools such as frequencies percentages, coefficient ,if correlation and multiple correlation and regression ( step - wise ) .sere used in presenting and analyzing data. The study indicated the following: (1) knowledge and execution level concerning extension posters, extension publications, administrations meetings were less than concerning extension meetings office visits and field visits ; (2) It was found apositive significant relationship at level 0.05 between the agents academic level and their degree level of knowledge for principles of some extension methods; (3) It was found a positive significant relationship at level 0.05 between the agents job satisfaction and their knowledge level of principles some extension methods; (4) It was found a positive significant relationship at level 0.01 between the number of training course and their knowledge level of principles some extension methods;(5) It was found a positive significant relationship at level 0.05 between the agents' back ground and their level executing principles level of using some extension methods.; (6) it was found a negative significant relationship at level 0.05 1 between age and the level of executing the principles of using some extension methods; and (7) the main problems that faced the agricultural extension agents while using the extension methods were: the difficultly of transportatic: of farmers to the extension meeting the lack of requirements, most the posters were not recent, the distance between the home agents' and the location farmer was far.
