| Abstract |
The main objective of this research was to shed some lights on the extension training needs for graduated farmers in El-Bostan area of Beheira Governorate.
A questionnaire through personal interviews-as a method was used to collect data from 120 respondents. Percentages as well as frequency tables, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, kay square, simple correlation coefficient, and multiple regression, were utilized as statistical methods for analyzing and presenting research data.
The most important findings of the research could be summerized as follows:
In general knowledge level, the findings indicated that about 95.84% of the total. number of respondents having low and middle level knowledge, that was in vetrinary services of cattle, cattle feeding, agriculture insects and its control methods.
The findings also indicated that about 70% of respondents are in great need for training in different fields such as marketing and storing processes for field crops, but for vegetables crops the processes which needed great training were irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, and marketing, and more for control insects, and marketing for fruits crops, and cattle breeding for animal production.
On the other side, the relationship of research variables with farm production know ledge level, the results revealed that there was a signifi¬cant relationship between farm production knowledge level and the following six independent variables: age, cosmopoliteness, sources of agricultural information, standard of living, agricultural extension communication, and total value of annual income. All these independent variables explained 55% from changing in farm production knowledge level.
At last the results indicated that the problems which face graduated fanners in area research were as follows: low level knowledge in animal breeding and feeding, shortage of living services, lack of marketing systems for agricultural crops and shortage of technical extension training.
