Arabic : استبيان فيروس الجلد العقدي في افرازات العجول المحقونة تجريبيا
Abstract Lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) was detected in the saliva, nasal and lacrimal discharges of experimentally infected bulls. The infection was conducted through inoculation of four bulls intradermally with virulent LSDV and other 2 bulls without inoculation were used as control. Clinical manifestations were an increase in the body temprature for 10 days post infection, followed by local and generalized skin nodules allover the animal bodies. There was also obvious increase in the salvia, nasal and lacrimal discharges. Isolation of LSDV from the excreta was carried out by their inoculation on monolayers of MDBK cells, for observation of the characteristic cytopathic effect. The presence of the virus was confirmed by application of ELISA and FAT, which ensured the dissemination of LSDV in the sereta and excreta of infected bulls during the course of lumpy skin disease.
