Arabic : دراسة عن بعض العوامل المؤثرة على مدة ومستوى الأجسام المناعية
Abstract The aim of this work is to study the effect of some factors on the level and duration of passive immunity of tetanus anti- toxin . 1)The first factor was the effect of route of the anti-toxin injection in rabbites , mainly the subcutaneous and intravenous routes . it was found that no clear difference could be observed . 2)Regarding the second factor , the dose of the injected anti-toxin in rabbits, it was proved that the larger the dose of anti-toxin the longer was the duration of aquired passive immunity . 3)The effect of nature of the injected antitetanic serum in rabbits was the third factor that investigated in this work . it was clearly evident that raw horse anti-tetanic serum was eliminated more slowly than pepsin refined one. 4- The effect of kind of the injected tetanus anti-toxin in rabbits was the fourth factor that was studied. It was clear that homologous tetanus anti-toxin, persists longer than heterologus one even at the same dose. 5- In the fifth experiment dealing with the effect of kind of the injected tetanus anti-toxin in horses, cattle and sheep, it was found that homologous anti-tetanic serum was immunologically superior to the heterologous type.
