| Abstract |
Atotal of 75 milk samples were collected from grazing - goat herds in three different places north sinai , fayoumand behaira in egypt . where more than 60% of owner of these goats had ahabit of consumption of fresh goats milk and close animal contact
All samples were screened by milk ring test ( MRT) by testing milk samples for antibodies against brucella. brucella melitensis biotype 3 was successfully isolated from three cases ( 4% ) in north sinai two cases ( 2.66 ) in fayoum and from one case( 1.33% ) in behaira
the detection of Br. melitensis antibodies was accomplished by bacterial isolation for demonstration of the organism in goats molk samples . dot - elisa is used as a confirmed test for diagnosis of Br. melitensis in milk samples
