| Abstract |
Apreliminary study was conducted to prepare a polyclonal antibody against local strain of equine herpesvirus-1(EHV-1)
labeled with horseradish peroxidase and flyorescein isothiocyanate.the prepared antiserum in rabbit wasconjugated by the most cheaper and easier method (periodate method). it was divided into two parts; the first one was conjugated with peroxidase the second part was conjugated fluorescein isolthiocyanate which give the strongest positive recation at dilution of 1/4000. both conjugates were succeeded to show its efficiency and liability for detecting EHV-1 when tested against field samples within its test proper.
