| Abstract |
This study was conducted to evaluate the immune response of sheep to a multicomponent bacterial vaccine for their protection against pneumonia.Fifteen sheep were vaccinated with combined oil adjuvant inactivated vaccine prepared from P.multocida, P.haemolytica, K.pneumoniae Subsp.Pneumoniae and E.coli. This vaccine was inoculated twice 4 weeks apart in a dose of 3ml I/M. Safety and potency of the prepared vaccines were evaluated by the survival rate of the vaccinated and challenged mice. The humoral immune response was measured by IHA and ELISA as well as the blastogenic transformation ofT and B lymphocytes of the vaccinated sheep was done by MTT test. This study revealed that the group of sheep vaccinated with the combined vaccine was higher in immune response.
