Study for preparation of peroxidase conjugated anti-ovine immunoglobulin

| Abstract |
A preliminary study was conducted to prepare a peroxidase labeled polyclonal antibodies against ovine immunogllobulins. Such antibodies were raised in white Newzeland rabbits. The optimal dilution of the conjugate was determined by checkerboard ELISA method against known strong, weak and negative Rift valley fever antigen and the results were mathced with that obtained with patent peroxidase conjugated anti-ovine immunoglobulins. Both local and imported anti-ovine peroxidase conjugated antibodies were applied on 10 ovine sera samples to detect antibodies against RVF virus and the results were matched.
