English : Antigenic extracts from M.Bovis and BCG for the serologic diagnosis of Bovine tuberculosis in Cows
Arabic : انتيجينات مستخلصة من م.بوفيس.بي.سي.جي لتشخيص السل البقري سيرولوجياً في الأبقار
Abstract Antigens from unheated BCG and autoclaved M.bovis cells were extracted by Sarkosyl and each was used as antigen for ELISA test in addition to PPD. Modified ELISA was conducted on sera from experimentally infected guinea pigs with typical and atypical mycobacteria ans sera from tuberculin positive cattle with and without gross lesions. Result of ELISA tets revealed that typical mycobacteria antisera could be diferentiated from the atypical antisera by using the 3 different antigens M.tuberculosis complex antisera could be differentiated from each other at higher serum dilutions. Variations in the values of accuracy index, sensitivity, specififcity, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predicitve value (NPV) were given by each of the 3 antigens indicating that the unheated BCG extract could minimize non-specific reactions than each of the two other antigens.
